This year we are planning the first crossing of the Andes in Northern Patagonia from Chile to Argentina with dog sleds. The event will start the 20th of August 2009 close to Reigolil Chile and will finish on the 28th of August 2009 in Argentina. This is the first crossing ever of the Andes by dog sled. We plan to do it with an international team of mushers from Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, United States and Germany. We will go with 6-8 dog sleds. Every sled pulled by 6-8 dogs. The route is beautiful in an amazing, untouched nature through Araucaria Forests, along active volcanoes and clear Patagonian rivers.
With this event we would like to support two enviromental protection programs.
One is the „Patagonia sin represas“ movement ,
who protects chilean Patagonia from the construction of dams.
The other environmental protection company is „FairChile“, an organization for the reforestation of the chilean rainforest.

Este ano vamos a cruzar los Andes de Chile a Argentina con perros de trineo. El cruce va a empezar el 20 de Agosto cerca de Reigolil, Chile y terminar en Pino Hachado, Argentina. Un team internacional con el campeón sudamericano en mushing de Argentina, mushers de Chile, Alemania, Suiza, Estados Unidos y Nueva Zelanda van a participar. Es la primera cruce de los Andes con trineos tirado por perros. Vamos a ir con 6-8 trineos. Cada trineo tirado por 6-8 perros.

que es un organización que trabaja junto con CONAF por un proyecto de reforestación y compensacion de CO2 y con la organizacion
“Patagonia sin represas“, que trabaja para conservar la naturaleza intacta y contra la construccion de represas de companias hydroelectricas en esta zona.

Dieses Jahr planen wir die erste Andenüberquerung mit Schlittenhunden im nördlichen Patagonien von Chile nach Argentinien. Die Expedition beginnt am 20. August 2009 in der Nähe von Reigolil, Chile und endet in Pino Hachado, Argentinien. Wir haben ein internationales Team von Mushern aus Chile, Argentinien(der südamerikanische Meister im Schlittenhundefahren), Neuseeland, USA, Schweiz und Deutschland. Wir werden mit 6-8 Schlitten, die jeweils von
6-8 Hunden gezogen werden, fahren. Die Strecke führt durch eine atemberaubende Natur, durch Araukarienwälder, an aktiven Vulkanen entlang am Ufer klarer patagonischer Gebirgsbäche.
Mit der Expedition unterstützen wir die Organisation „FairChile“, die sich zusammen mit CONAF für ein Wiederaufforstungsprojekt des chilenischen Regenwaldes einsetzt. Mit dem Geld werden native Bäume gekauft und gepflanzt.
Ausserdem unterstützen wir die Aktion „Patagonia sin represas“, welche sich für den Erhalt der in Patagonien einzigartigen und größtenteils noch unberührten Natur einsetzt und auf das Problem der Konstruktion von Staudämmen dort durch grosse Energiekonzerne aufmerksam macht.
